20 June saw the biggest entry to the ever-growing Sand Track event held at Millbrook with 25 competitors battling it out for class wins.
Thomas Le Breton who is 8 years old battled on through the tough course over jumps and round slippery corner to bring home a first in the A A Langlois Sand Track Award the crowds cheered and clapped him round the track with a load roar as her confidently took the chequered flag five times.
The GA+R Electrical Services Trophy was won by Greg Hawley and in second place Rhys Le Roy fought hard again Hawley and third place winner Joshua Du Four.
The course was very challenging with 6 jumps some tight corners on the approach to the jumps with a long straight on the sea sight. With part of the track dry and a part wet it tested the skills of all the riders.
The Elite Riders saw a tight battle between Matthew Rayson and Toby Luce to take first place leaving Matthew Rayson to accept second place with seasoned sand racer Daniel Lagadu bringing home third place in the GA+R Electrical Services Elite Trophy.
B Group Riders watched James Knight take the title in the DGR Slatter Decorators Award with a clear win over Stephen Holley with 12 points between them. First time on the sand on a bike was seasoned car driver James Carrel take a very comfortable third place.
Newcomer Miguel Boxelho gave a great performance at his first ever event, with Joshua Troy and Jamie Howarth giving very spectacular viewing from the sea wall where at least 200 people were watching the trills and many spills over the jumps on this challenging course.
